Donovan to receive human rights recognition

“Ken Donovan has been awarded this year’s Tom Miller Human Rights Award by the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, in recognition of 35 years of research on slavery in Cape Breton. The retired Parks Canada historian will receive his award during a   gala ceremony Saturday in Membertou.” (Cape Breton Post, 27 January 2012, A3)

Ken has edited two books at CBU Press, The Island: New Prespectives on Cape Breton History 1713-1990, and Cape Breton at 200: Historical Essays in Honor of the Island’s Bicentennial 1785 – 1985.
