Marie Battiste

Marie Battiste is a Mi’kmaw educator from Potlotek First Nations, Nova Scotia, and full professor in the Department of Educational Foundations at the University of Saskatchewan. With degrees from Harvard and Stanford Universities, she is widely published in initiating institutional change in the decolonization of education and activating social justice and postcolonial educational approaches that recognize and affirm the political and cultural diversity of Canada.
