Nominations for Me & Mr. Bell
Philip Roy’s newest children’s novel, Me & Mr. Bell, has been nominated for a total of three awards. The CLA announced it as a candidate for their Book of the Year for Children award, and now it’s on the list for the Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Books for Kids and Teens.
The Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award is a reading program designed to advance literacy and foster a joy of reading among Atlantic Canadian children in Grades 4, 5 and 6. Each year, thousands of children read from the selection of forty outstanding Canadian books in four categories – English fiction and nonfiction, French fiction and French nonfiction – and vote for their favourites in the spring. Winners will be announced in May.
