CB Lit fans encouraged to nominate CB novels

CBC Radio One Canada Reads annual lit-fest has launched and it’s back to fiction for the jury.

CBC has announced that the latest edition of Canada Reads pits region against region – “Five panelists. Five books. Five regions. Which novel will represent the place you call home? Have your say in this year’s ‘battle of the books’.”

Listeners and bibliophiles can nominate and vote for the novels they would like to see represent our region, Atlantic Canada.

It’s time a Cape Breton novel was nominated. How about A Forest for Calum – Frank Macdonald’s world class novel, or Frank’s timely environmentally-themed A Possible Madness – and why not Susan Biagi’s wonderful novel Cibou?

Sure, they’re all CBU Press books, what would you expect us to nominate? While it’s not likely a new release woul get the nod, what about Thomas, A Secret Life by A.J.B. Johnston?
