“Canada Reads” going public

This week, CBC Radio One’s Jian Ghomeshi, host of Q and of “Canada Reads,” announced that listeners are able to contribute their favourite Canadian novels to create a short list of 40 books from which the segment’s celebrity “defenders” will select for all.

This is great news for fans of CB literature. Three CBU Press novels have been nominated so far (A FOREST FOR CALUM, by Frank Macdonald, CIBOU, by Susan Young de Biagi, and BASEMENT SUITE, by Susan Farrell). Check out the Q blog: “Nation I Need you.” at cbc.ca/q
