Laura Bast is Assistant Editor at CBU Press. She came to us from Halifax, is originally from southwestern Ontario, and, at one time or another, has found a home in more distant places, including France and West Africa. In 2011, she completed her MA in English literature at Dalhousie University, and she’s been living out east and loving it ever since. Laura provides editorial assistance to two academic journals (MUSICultures and Material Culture Review), and CBU Press's non-fiction and academic books. She also provides valuable publicity assistance to the Press and its authors. Laura’s reading interests are fairly wide, and include lots of young adult, poetry and fiction; when she's feeling more ambitious, some philosophy, theology, history and physics round out her reading. You can find out even more about what Laura reads at hnstbkrvws.com, her book review blog, and you can follow her on Twitter at @laura_bast.
